Currently I am an instructor at the Mountainland Technical College where I get to help students through the introduction to programming class. Along with helping students get through the course material I was tasked with rewriting the curriculum for the class. I really enjoy this job and love being able to help people start their journey into programming. Languages taught: Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, git, github.
With COVID-19 making a huge impact on the world the course for Code To Success was totally online. I was able to help the students from a distance as they learned how to code. The languages the students learned were HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, and React.js.
From 1PM-5PM Monday through Thursday and 8AM-5PM on Fridays I would go to NUVI as a Web Developer Intern. I would update nuvi.com and fix bugs there. I would also build landing pages, add them to pardot as templates, and validate forms using HTML, CSS, and Javascirpt.
I would go to Orem High School from 8AM-12PM Monday through Thursday and I helped the students when they ran into any bugs while going through the course material and help encourage them to continue their learning on how to code. This job helped me a lot with great debugging techniques and I also went through the course with the students and learned a lot about ruby and ruby on rails.
As a crew member at McDonalds I would clean up the restaurant, take orders from the drive through and inside the restaurant, cook the food, and assemble the food.
I had the privilage to serve as a misisonary in the Everett Washington area! This was such an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade it for the world! Everyday I went out and taught people about the gospel of Jesus Christ and what it has done for me. I learned so much and gained a lot of added skills.
